Bello Bay Cruise

Bello Bay Cruise is one of the biggest fan favorites at Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, and after riding it ourselves, it is easy to see why. Located inside Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, this raft-style water ride drops families right into the middle of the Yellow Minions versus Purple Minions chaos.

And yes, you are going to get wet.

This is not a gentle boat ride with the occasional splash. Bello Bay Cruise combines raft-style movement, surprise sprays, water effects, and blasters from above where other guests can spray your boat as you pass. Some rides can feel wetter than others, but we would go in expecting a soaking rather than hoping to stay dry.

Because Bello Bay Cruise is so popular, the line can sometimes build, especially during the warmer parts of the day. The good news is that it generally moves fairly quickly, so a longer-looking queue does not always mean an especially long wait.

There is also some spinning as the raft moves through the course, and how much you spin can vary from ride to ride. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, this may be one to watch before deciding whether to ride.

One other thing parents should know: kids who do not like water splashing in their face may have a hard time with this one. The water comes from several directions, and there is not really a reliable “dry seat.” Quick-dry clothes, sandals, or a backup outfit can make the rest of the day much easier.

For families who love water rides, Minions, and a little bit of playful chaos, Bello Bay Cruise is easily one of the must-do attractions at Universal Kids Resort. On a hot Texas day, getting drenched may actually feel like part of the strategy.
