Walt Disney World - Steakhouse 71 Lounge

Steakhouse 71 Lounge is the more casual lounge space connected to Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It gives you the same polished mid-century style and resort setting as the main restaurant, but in a format that feels a little easier and less formal for a break near Magic Kingdom.

For families, the appeal is straightforward: this is a comfortable sit-down option with air-conditioning, real seats, and a calmer pace than an in-park quick meal. It can make sense for lunch, an early dinner, or a midday reset when everyone is hot, tired, and ready to slow down for a bit. Adults, mixed-age groups, and families with older kids or teens will usually get the most out of it, especially if the group is happy to trade ride time for a more relaxed pause.

The tradeoff is that this is still a resort restaurant stop outside the park gates, so it works best when you are already around the Magic Kingdom Resort Area or intentionally planning downtime at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If your priority is staying inside Magic Kingdom, eating quickly, and getting back to attractions with as little interruption as possible, this may feel like too big a break for the day.

If your trip has room for a slower meal in a comfortable setting, Steakhouse 71 Lounge can be a very pleasant change of pace near Magic Kingdom. If what your family really needs is speed, simplicity, and the shortest possible detour, an in-park quick-service meal is probably the better fit.
