Part of EPCOT
EPCOT AreaWorld Showcase
World Showcase is the part of EPCOT where the pace slows down and the day starts to revolve around pavilions, food, festivals, and wandering. Use this hub to sort out what is actually in this area, what takes extra time, and how to build a smoother route without crisscrossing the park.

Open in MapsWorld Showcase
EPCOT’s waterfront world-pavilion loop for strolling, snacks, entertainment, and longer meal breaks.
World Showcase is the part of EPCOT built for strolling, snacking, and lingering a little longer than you planned. Instead of a ride-heavy park section, this is where many families slow the pace down with pavilion entertainment, festival booths, table-service meals, quick bites, shopping, and kid-friendly cultural stops as they circle the lagoon.
That slower pace can be a big win, but it helps to know what kind of time commitment you are signing up for. A casual walk-through can take an hour or two. A day built around food, characters, seasonal festival booths, live performers, and browsing the countries can easily fill most of an afternoon and evening. For families with strollers, tired kids, or a dinner reservation on the far side of the lagoon, location matters here more than it first appears.
World Showcase often works best when you treat it as its own phase of the day. Many families pair Future World-area attractions earlier, then move here later for a calmer stretch, especially as the weather eases and the atmosphere picks up. It is also one of the better EPCOT areas for families who are happy to trade nonstop rides for variety, snacks, music, and space to wander without rushing from queue to queue.
Use this hub to compare what is actually in World Showcase, what is elsewhere in EPCOT or on Disney property, and what makes more sense on another day entirely. That makes it easier to decide whether you are planning a quick lap, a festival-heavy afternoon, a dinner-and-entertainment night, or a slower EPCOT day where the wandering is the point.
Think of World Showcase as EPCOT’s slower side: a place for grazing, browsing, entertainment, and longer walks that can set the pace for your afternoon or evening.
How to Use World Showcase
World Showcase works best when you treat it as a real part of your EPCOT day, with its own walking time, meal options, and slower pace.
-
How much walking does this add?
The easiest World Showcase stops are the ones that fit the side of the loop you are already walking, instead of sending your group across EPCOT for one item.
-
Does this stay in World Showcase?
Some ideas keep you within World Showcase, while others pull you into other parts of EPCOT or beyond, which can change both timing and transportation.

Learn MoreFrequent Quest Questions
How should families use World Showcase in an EPCOT day?
Use it as the slower, wander-and-snack part of your EPCOT day. It works especially well for families who want to group together food stops, entertainment, shopping, or a longer meal instead of treating World Showcase like a quick detour.
Do all World Showcase add-ons affect timing and transportation the same way?
No. Some add-ons stay within World Showcase, while others can send you elsewhere on Walt Disney World property or off property, which can change both transportation and timing.
