A bright, music-filled land at Universal Kids Resort with family rides, active play spaces, live entertainment, and plenty of colorful Trolls energy.

DreamWorks’ TrollsFest is one of the most energetic lands at Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. The entire area feels like a cheerful outdoor festival, with bold colors, upbeat music, moving attractions, character appearances, and play spaces that encourage kids to climb, dance, and join the fun instead of simply moving from one ride queue to the next.

The land includes two family rides. Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express carries families around an elevated track in colorful armadillo-inspired vehicles, while Hair in the Clouds sends riders above the land in bright, flower-faced balloons that rise and spin. Neither is a major thrill ride, but both bring more movement than families might expect from their playful appearance.

TrollsFest is also one of the park’s stronger areas for active play. Younger children can climb and explore inside Poppy’s Playland, while Trolls Critter Crawl adds tunnels, climbing areas, and another place to burn off some energy between rides. These play spaces can turn TrollsFest into a much longer stop than the attraction count alone suggests.

Music and entertainment are a major part of the land’s personality. Families can join the fun at the TrollsFest Amphitheater Stage Show or dance along during the King Trollex TechnoDance Party. Young Trolls fans can also watch for opportunities to meet Poppy, Branch, and other Trolls characters during their visit.

With rides moving overhead, music playing throughout the area, and children bouncing between shows, characters, and play spaces, TrollsFest can feel busy and stimulating at peak times. Kids who love Trolls, dancing, climbing, and colorful surroundings may consider it one of the best parts of the park. Children who are sensitive to noise or crowds may enjoy it more in shorter visits or earlier in the day.

TrollsFest works best when families leave room for a little spontaneity. You may arrive planning to ride one attraction and quickly find yourself staying for a dance party, a character appearance, or another twenty minutes in a play area. That lively, slightly unpredictable festival energy is what gives the land its personality.
